If I got questioned I wouldnt be able to tell them the address I used, I've got disposable email addresses c/o spam gourmet. I've had this set up for ages and is a great way to have confidence handing out your email address to avoid spam. If I get questioned about different email addresses I will just explain it's a valid reason.
Tell them you'll give them your e-mail address after they give you their home phone number - same invasion of privacy!0 -
You've just figured your own 'pain-free' solution. 'Your shopping for dad, not got a clue what his e-mail address is. Don't worry - I'll use the voucher next week once I find out and pay cash for this one.'Hiya ok got me thinking now what if you got asked the email but had been given the voucher?
I have my dads as he asks me to get his shop but i dont know which email address he used, does it say in the t and c's has to be you who uses it?0 -

There's been some confusion today with the coca cola 2 ltr bottles, buy 3 as people have had confirmeds and NA back today. Can we get a couple of barcodes please from both confirmed and NA bottles to see if there is a pattern.

It just means that even though i have hardly been using the scheme much at all (used say 4-5 vouchers since the start?) I am still probably known as the 'lady with the vouchers', especially since it seems no one else is doing it afaik. Annoying and slightly paranoia inducing too!
I'm down south, and we have loads here; can't move for them!0 -

Which part of my post is "old twaddle"? It's all factual actually.
I'm not saying "Don't do it". I'm saying "Don't talk about it on an internet forum". If you are posting from home you can be easily traced, unless you are using a proxy server.0 -

If you are posting from your home you are NOT anonymous just because you made up a user name and used an email address which can't be linked to you when you registered for the MSE site. If Tesco decided to take action (i.e. pursue someone for fraud) after your written "confession", and you made the posting from your home, then all the police would have to do is make 2 phone calls - 1 to the MSE site to get the IP address of the poster and then 1 to the poster's ISP to find out who was using that IP address at the time the "confession" was made. You would then be "outed", full name and address etc.
The poster that said they had made up a new email address every day and did 5 shops/day to obtain 5 vouchers/day is the sort of thing I'm talking about. Very careless talk.
Be Wise!!
Be wise... no where in the T's and C's does it say you can only use one email address. It just says £100/10 vouchers per month per household.
All it points to is a fair use policy, and if the store feel you have gone against the spirit of the policy, or suspect you of fraudulent behavior they can refuse the voucher.
For the person who was banned for 3 months, i would contest this, as its without precedent, and is not pointed to in the t's and c's. I would think a fairer punishment would be to void all unused vouchers, and prevent them from claiming again for 3 months (not that this can currently be tracked other than by email).0 -
