Hi Ste - just jumping in on your previous thread reply to Simone. Still think the only trace is via the start and total voucher value making £50 uncapped ASDA spend and no more than that. I've looked at cookies stored after each pricecheck input and retrieval and although 5 sit on the machine each time, they are just session ASP ID cookies and do not appear malicious or trackable. All the same, in between receipt entering I have been powering down the router, removing all cookies and rebooting the router before entering any more receipts for the folks etc ;)

I think todays problem is volume related or store related rather than anything going pear shaped - friends who also visited the same store as me are awaiting their vouchers so I think it must be a volume thing as I reckon the number of people doing this is growing exponentially and CS decided to release from the 'hold pen' any vouchers they could to avoid loads of call bombardment and the rest are still in the system for release tomorrow. But then, maybe I'm talking out of my bum - half a bottle of Wolf Blass has that effect on me sometimes!

If the theory is that failure to deliver vouchers is cookie related - does that not fall apart for those of us like me that input details at home wednesday and then spent that voucher at lunchtime yesterday and input it at work?

Thanks Simon. The wolf bass made me think Simone was you :o I too think that it is volume related. I had a similar issue last week, one I had to wait a couple of days for a voucher to come through.

    Thanks for clearing it up.:T

Clearly they [Tesco] found it hard to make a promise they couldn't keep." Asda Spokesperson.

I say Tesco found it EASY to make promises it still cannot keep.

I hope all those who are admitting to making up email addresses in order to fraudulently obtain goods to which they are clearly not entitled are not posting from their home. If you are posting from your home you are NOT anonymous just because you made up a user name and used an email address which can't be linked to you when you registered for the MSE site. If Tesco decided to take action (i.e. pursue someone for fraud) after your written "confession", and you made the posting from your home, then all the police would have to do is make 2 phone calls - 1 to the MSE site to get the IP address of the poster and then 1 to the poster's ISP to find out who was using that IP address at the time the "confession" was made. You would then be "outed", full name and address etc.

The poster that said they had made up a new email address every day and did 5 shops/day to obtain 5 vouchers/day is the sort of thing I'm talking about. Very careless talk.

    Be Wise!!

i doubt tesco even care about this thread let alone read it everyday to see whos posting what and admitting to making new email addresses..

I agree, I dont think it's cookie related. I have one of mine, but not the other. If it was cookies I wouldn't have either.
