  • This was at S*****RD, too far away from you I think. I've sent my e-mail off though, should be interesting to see the response. May have to start using your local as my main store!

They took my voucher late this afternoon at S with no problems, but she did use black marker all over my old receipt and then kept it and I did get the feeling it was a tad unfriendly there (was my first visit and I was over that way anyway.

I would just like to thank everyone for the entertainment, sure beats watching eastenders. Must say I've only encountered very friendly staff in Tescos when I've used my vouchers. My brother in law seems to think that Tesco will be unconcerned and more interested in seeing stock fly off their shelves, thus allowing them to negotiate better deals with their suppliers. Hopefully leading to lower prices in the long term as I don't have an Asda near me to shop at.
Alice came to a fork in the road. "Which road do I take?" she asked. "Where do you want to go?" responded the Cheshire cat. "I don't know," Alice answered. "Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."

Sorry haven't read every single post on the subject but I can confirm that Tesco will and do have photos taken by the CCTV of people known to bend the rules so to speak...they have pictures for the security guards too and Tesco managers will send them to other local stores to ensure you cannot do the same there.

They do have the right as do all shops to stop you entering should they decide to.

Surely they cant do that, Data Protection Act?!

Forgot to say I speak from personal experience and was treated the same back in the good old days of R+R and know of several others treated the same.
