In response to the posts on here that I have missed and justr reading through, let me clarify a few things:-
1.) I am not a mole, I posted information to help people (ie to make sure that they are not using the same email pattern that I was using)
2.) I don't want to say exactly where the store is (just as I don't want to give the exact details of my email patterns) but lets just say it isn't far from Sheffield. If anyone wantd to PM who lives close by I will then disclose to them if I am happy from their previous posts that they are genuine.
3.) just for clarification my emails were input as follows:-
Day 1 - 5 shops using a particular email address (all the same)
Day 2 - 5 shops using a different email address (all the same)
Day 3 - and so on.
I was unlcuky that one of my vouchers on my day 2 shopping was for £16 (from my day 1 receipts), and on Day 3 when I tried to use a different voucher, the receipt showed a coupon for £16, which HO knew that hadn't issued to the email address that I submitted on day 2 (day 3's vouchers) - if that makes sense?
I'm happy to answer any questions to help people so they don't get caught out the same way.0 -
I've just realised I've been panicking about not using my clubcard when I have spent £18.54 in vouchers this month:D I am going to use my clubcard for up to £100, then for anything over I'm sure I can persuade my non-dtd partner to take me shopping and let me use his clubcard. Sorted:)0

Another person from Cardiff here....
Have used a few vouchers in Western Avenue and have had no problems.Born to glitch0 -
I do believe dtdsearcher was posting a true story, and it is a warning to us all just to bit a bit careful. TBH a lot of us are doing more than 5 shops a month, and it doesn't hurt to be aware of potantial problems. However it would have been useful to know the county/area, even if the exact store couldn't be named.
*eta* Sorry I posted this before the OP'ers reply0 -

I have used the Clowne store before but it wasn't that store.0 -
Berbastrike - just one question. If you stick to £100 a month, how come you watch every post which in itself must be almost a full time job. Using the 10 receipts or £100 5 receipt limit means that on average, you will go shop every 3 or 6 days. To keep up with 3 days threads is approximately 300 pages or 12,000 threads taking the best part of 8 hours for a £10 profit (actually £5 in ASDA terms). This equates to a 70p per hour payback rate. The same payback rate applies for a 6 day, 5 receipts a month principle.
Either you are
a) blatantly lying about your spend; or
b) not manipulating the rules yourself, but making sure that in some way you're ensuring that you are getting more than a 70p per hour payrate in one way or another (e.g. sharing information with others for paybback/kickbacks etc); or
c) a further Tesco 'plant' that wishes to guide us all to stick to your (un)reasoned principles; or
d) a bit daft
Sooooooo........which one is it?berbastrike wrote: »dtdsearcher, I am sorry this has happened to you. But I think you and any others abusing this must take some responsibilty for your actions. I am sticking to my £100 a month because this is honest and not breaking any rules. If you want to break rules, go ahead, but don't moan when you are caught.0 -
Tonight I had a really nice older (60s) lady sa. She had never seen a voucher. She had never heard about vouchers. She had had no training on the vouchers and was delighted when told how they worked.
4 weeks in, unbelievable!!!
I had that today too. She even handed me back my receipt - unmarked.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!
