Lol... I am glad that that bloke isn't teaching my kids IT, they wouldn't get anywhere fast with him.

It's a good job that I had a 100% pass rate last year could have been offended especially as I'm female

    hey folks

havent been on for a while but i have been following from my phone! cant believe we are thread 4 now!! get us!! iss this the biggest thread on mse??

anyways im still trooping along with dtd shopping, just got the olive oil and some more coffee and have another 2 vouchers ready to use.

im lucky cos im going to tesco every night, at the moment im doing driving lessons (test on 27th eeeek!!) so every evening my parents are staying with the sleeping baby while my husband comes along with me for extra time in the car - guess where i always drive to??? lol!! to be fair the route to tesco has 2 big roundabouts, a dual carriageway, numerous lane changes and lots of lights, not to mention parking!! however feel i have mastered this route and nothing else so unless my test route happens to be from my house to tesco and back (how great would that be!!) im thinking i need to broaden my horizons.

so tonight im off to the tesco further away hahaha!! i seriously need to get a life!

    My Virgin router is static

If you have a Virgin 'Cable' Connection it will be Dynamic. However if you unplug the router this will often have little effect. Simply because the Subnet in that area will have been allocated a set number of IP addresses and the chances are, unless somebody elses connection beats you first, you will just be given the same one again.

So it often feels static but actually isn't. Virgin Braodband via phoneline is different.

The salmon I had was princes 213g tinned red salmon, 3.98 in tesco. Not sure if it is still valid, I went into tesco today and they were selling them at £2 a tin, which is still more expensive than asda so it should be okay..

the cashier asked me "are you sure you want to pay 3.98 each for these?" She must have thought I was loaded lol

oh no i knew about that one lol, for some reason i thought it was fresh salmon, i don't like tinned salmon so i'll stick to BEEF :p and smellies :D

Let's try and be nice. And who said it was a bloke? ;)

Will do... better not to post at all rather than to post with false info. It does worry me though that an 'IT Teacher' doesn't know what he / she is talking about.

  • you guys are confusing LAN ip addresses which will likely stay the same and the router assigns, and the WAN ip address your ISP assigns which will change each time you re-boot unless you have paid for a static ip address ..
