IT teacher to the rescue lol! Your IP address will stay the same when connecting to the internet on one computer another computer connecting to the same internet connection should have a different IP address. Turing the router off wont change this. As for the cookies in your internet options you can manually delete the cookies stored on your PC.
Cookie traces are far more likely than the IP address as IP is far more invasive.

Not entirely true.... we have BT broadband at work and turning off the modem/router gives us a new IP address each time. My Virgin one at home does stay static though.

sorry to disagree, but i have a BT home hub and resetting it DOES change my ip addresss.

    check your IP address here
    http://www.whatismyip.com/tools/ip-address-lookup.asp

reset you hub and check again, mine always changes.

still dont think its the IP address though, clubcards and emails IMHO

I can tell you 100% that's not accurate. I'm with BT and if you unplug your router for a couple of minutes and plug it in again, it assigns you a new IP address. I have been doing it for years.

I know people have been saying that there is a rumor that Mr.T is stopping this today - I noticed last night that all of the promo 'posters' on the tills have been taken down... Could be a bad sign

There have been no posters or leaflets in my 2 stores since 4 days after they capped the limits on vouchers.

I would not worry, they will let us know when it will stop I am sure until then enjoy :D

I hope so, but imagine if she was right. :(

Has anyone seen the tv ad in the last couple of days?

Not for ages! and i have actually managed to tear myself away long enough to catch my usual programmes (though that usually consists of sitting at the computer with the TV swivelled so i can do both at once ;))

    Anyone else?

Edit: not that i am suggesting they are pulling the promotion, just maybe they have had to pull the adverts...again! My local stores do not have any signs up (excluding the one in Amersham that still has all of the orginal aisle end signs - with no mention of the cap! DOH!)
