P.S anyone who shops at Twickenham Tesco, the one by the Rugby ground there is a trout on CS with dyed red hair! Other woman on CS said to me: I dunno why she sent you here, it clearly says on the sheet that you present it to the checkout operator! Trout walked back to CS desk whilst nice CS woman was serving me who then told trout that the vouchers are taken at any till. Trouts face was so angry. :rotfl:

    Hey SootSoot,
I will look out for your Trolley next time i am there (tonight, if hubby gives me my way again:D)

Anyway, in the Twickenham store the other night i got a FANTABEDOSEY sa! Not only did he let me use 4 yes 4 vouchers;) He aslo gave me 4 HUGE pads of the school vouchers to go with it:D

He was great, i loved him lol!:T

also i didnt mention looking at prices as often as i am doing i notice things increasing in price right before a promo...

Think we only had to look at Banrock and Turner Road wine to see that! double the price of A but then miraculously down to HALF PRICE!:eek::eek:
  • I think that with all the time we save searching for DTD items, we should be writing our shopping lists and then comparing tesco/asda/sainsburys prices to divide our lists into 3 - if we aren't visiting Tesco twice a day, we can find the time to visit at least 2 of the 3 to get the best deals. ;)

It takes me back to when we were kids doing the saturday morning grocery shop. Tesco and Sainsbury's were next door to each other in the shopping centre and my mum and dad would go round Tesco with a list checking all the prices, go to the Sainsburys and buy the cheapest and then go back to Tesco for the rest.

The advent of large out of town supermarkets killed this skill and (until now) we've forgotten about it. Now we have the internet, we can get back to basics and compare prices before we leave the house.

Thats what I have started doing. I'm buying the DTD stuff in Tesco but also checking Asda's prices, as some are pretty high at the minute. I shopped in Asda yesterday and picked out the items that cost more than Tesco and its things I'd normally buy (bit like doing a DTD shop :rotfl:) ended up spending just over £20 and I've got a voucher for just over £9 works both ways ;)
Don't walk behind me; I may not lead. Don't walk in front of me; I may not follow. Just walk beside me and be my friend...

  • Also SootSoot, if you are in Twickenham you are clearly close to the Osterley store. They have been super duper too. With the 4 vouchers i got from my Twickers shop i used in there and the SA took all of them too, even asking me how to do it:D

    morning :hello:
i know that feeling well :rotfl: i've had the neighbours banging on the walls late at night because my boys who have asd won't sleep & can't talk quietly but now one has just been put on melatonine so hopefully that will sort out their sleep :o[/QUOTE

Mine are on that but it doesnt work :(
I now find when it gets in thier system it has less of an effect so now i try and miss a few days when that happens, give chance to get out of it then when start the tablets again they sleep , mine are on 5 tablets a night 2 older boys and 6yr old is on 2 tabs ,
heres hoping for some sleep for you as i know how hard it is , Ive got 4 asd and adhd and 1 cp
  • I normally do 2 at a time, havent had the nerve to do more yet!! I pay for the first one with a voucher and depending on the reaction, make a snap decision wether to use another voucher for the second lot or cash lol!! Most times i use 2 vouchers though!

3 in a row each time I go

I think I may have messed up a small shop yesterday.

Sent hubby in to get the Wilkinson Razor and Gel, he came out with the normal gel not the sensitive one. :(
  • how many of you are risking more than one shop on the belt at the same time?

i have been doing 2 shops at the same time daily for a couple of weeks and not once got questioned.

Can someone tell me if the crusty White split tin loaf would freeze ok or will that ruin it?

I normally buy your bog standard squishy loaf which freezes and defrosts well but wondering, for the price if I could freeze this?
If my words are missing letters then please excuse me....my keyboard is a tad dodgy!!
