But after a whopping unexpected bill this week, I thought I better pull my finger out, and try and save some pennies somewhere.
I've tried telling others but there not interested in the slightest. It's really hard to stand there and select a £4 tin of salmon, or buying 1 pack of wipes for £3 when I normally buy 5 packs for £4, or only picking up 1 item when its on 342 etc etc.
But once you get your 1st shop done and you receive that 1st voucher and you get your head around it, it's a lot easier to digest and figure out.0 -

It does feel so insanely counter-intuitive. Ignoring "good deals" and "offers" is hard, it's almost ingrained!0 -

Our friends and family are either "oh, that's nice, whatever" or "what? I am not going to do that to save £2!".
Just one of our friends "clicked" straight away, and now she is putting me to shame with her 4 vouchers (recycled daily)!"Retail is for suckers"

Handed over my first DD voucher tonight. There were no manned tills open so had to go through self-serve. When I scanned voucher (for £8.56), it wanted appoval. The assistant said that the vouchers cannot be put through a self serve till, so she had to suspend the transaction and open a manned till to recall the transaction and put the voucher through. The receipt now says Recalled Transaction in big letters across the top. Hope this doesn't stop the DTD going through on. Anyone had this happen to them? Did the the next DTD voucher come through ok?
Don't worry. Recalled vouchers still work.
I have gone through self service and they have accepted them. It depends on the person manning them if they know what they are doing
I have never come across an organization with so many inconsistencies0 -
So many people just don't get it at all. We took some Finish quantumatics to my mum in law, asked her if she needed anything else and she was like, no, I get it at Makro....We did try to explain that whilst Makro may be cheap, she would not get 54 washed of surf for £1! but deaf ears...0

Another reason I initially passed on all this was because I used to be a massive bootser, and I have cupboards full of products that I may never get round to using - ever, and I didnt want this to end up the same way.
So I have mainly only been buying things I know I will use or a slight difference.
No point in having all these bargains if they just sit there, gathering dust.
I wonder how many tins of salmon will be given to schools and churches come the harvest festival, I suppose it will make a change from uncle ben's sweet and sour sauce :rotfl::TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!:T0
