I know that it is the first time it has been mentioned that T are not tracking the vouchers in real time right now, but plenty people have spoken on here about reusing the receipts and printing out more vouchers and it has caused all sorts of debates and headaches.
Basically using a receipt to validate 2 or more vouchers is fraud and illegal (not just bending the rules, but proper illegal). They may not be able to see that you are doing it right now, but when they sort through the vouchers later they have a means of tracing the fraudulant vouchers (the numbers on the bottom) and could use cctv footage to identify the person using it. Personally I think there is no need for this anyway. I have rolledover a £20 voucher most days spending under £1 each time and many others do so too.

I agree there is no need, but the reason I asked, is because I left a receipt in my trolley the other day, after using its DTD value, but it wasn't written on or anything. Now, if somebody wombled that (most likely) then printed another voucher, what's to stop them using it? CCTV would show 2 different people using the voucher (should they actually bother doing that) so who do Tesco's collar for it? As the original receipt holder, I left it in the trolley and have committed no offence and whoever wombled it, would just say they found a receipt, did a price check, but had no idea it had already been price checked, so what offence have they committed?

Sounds like a tricky one to me.........

Went into Asda on Tuesday - haven't been for a while :D - and picked up a copy of their in-store magazine (Easter copy).

Page 35 gives a recipe for Roast Lamb with Herby Stuffing.

Take 1 whole large leg of lamb, bone in (about 2.2kg)......:rotfl:

i was thinking of tearing of the corner i was worried if i teared it they may be a bit funny about it - ie if that particular trout knows staff are signing top of receipts OR stapling the reciept to the voucher on that corner so its less noticable. ie voucher on top , receipt under with staple over the signed part.

hope if works il be gutted cos i got two of the bikini razors <3 if not thats the end of my DTD game after one go ( one cash purchase -got one voucher and used that. end of game :(!

Tear the corner off hun. It doesn't matter as long as the info part is intact. If questioned, say 'that's how it was given to me. Perhaps the paper cutter on the till was faulty'. ;)

Can you tear off the corner with her scribble on it? If not, still put it in for the pricecheck, and when the voucher arrives, print off the page with the list of compared items. Take it with you when you go to get your next shop to use the voucher. Go to CS before you shop, and explain that the SA signed the wrong receipt by mistake. They can check your receipt against the list of DTD items on the printoff to confirm it. If they aren't happy with that get them to ring up to check the voucher is eligible and has not been used already.

And finally, you have to be quick at the till and grab your receipt as soon as they open the till drawer to put your voucher/cash in. Don't give the bu**ers chance to get their mitts on it. If it's in your pocket they can't sign it! :p

I had a receipt that had been written on, i called up CS and asked them if it was ok to pricecheck it and they said it was. When i went back into the store with it, i went to the CS desk first to let them know about it and that head office had authorised it. They were fine, but at least it would have given them time to call up to make sure if they needed. It was queried at the checkout but the supervisor had been notified already and authorised it straight away.

I don't want to appear critical - but, on the face of these two shops, you haven't quite got the right method !!!! Unless these were wombled receipts and you only posted to show us what is NOT working, you need to rethink your strategy.

They were wombled receipts - I go DTD shopping and my DS goes wombling ;) The deal is he gets the vouchers from any wombled receipts. :D

I posted these just to help people who are looking for some same priced or n/a items in a DTD shop.
