I havent had any problems with my three local Mr T's, one even lets me use 4 vouchers in 4 seperate transactions....no questions asked lol:j
Anyway today we were visiting a friend in whitstable and I thought I would pop into Mr T's whilst we were there.....Ran into my first trout on the till...
I had carefully calculated my shopping and purchased a leg of lamb costing £18.49 with an £18.42 voucher!!! in one transaction, and another transaction consisted of crisps biscuits etc... came to £14.32 and used a £15.15 voucher...
Anyway I have never seen a SA huff and puff so much, I passed her my coupon and receipt and she put them both in the till, I asked for my receipt back as I may need it for future refunds etc and said to her that my local store usually just mark it. With this she called over the store manager:eek: who then went on to say that Tesco have made a new policy of keeping the receipts as their is alot of duplication of vouchers going on and will continue keeping them until they figure out a new system to stop it........
On the way back home stopped at my very friendly local store to pick up my father in laws wolf blass using his voucher he gave me... used 2 vouchers for £17 on two transactions of 2 bottles of wolf blass. The SA didnt bat an eye, and even gave me my original receipt back unmarked.....
I think each Tesco's makes up their own rules.....0 -

Anyone bought Ambre Solaire factor 30 200ml spray, £9.99 at Tesco and hopefully £5 at Asda. The one I got the barcode ended in 5473 and I don't know if that's the right one?
If it is then I should get back £19.50 on a £20.10 spend. Whoopee!!
Me, got it yesterday and got a voucher today0 -

I had a lovely trout today. I had 2 baskets of DTD items and asked her to scan them separately as one was for someone else. She clocked the voucher and said she didn't know about them, so she called the supervisor over stating that they had to be used at customer services. Once the supervisor told her that you just scan them and put the amount in she reluctantly continued. She then noticed I had used a coupon to pay for the last shop so over comes the supervisor again, who informs her that this is o.k. I pay the extra 30p
and put the next basket through as she's grumbling that this shouldn't be allowed, she then decides that I should be buying the same items that were on the voucher receipt so she calls the supervisor again (funny how she knew nothing about the voucher but suddenly seemed to know all the T's&C's!). By now the supervisor is looking annoyed and I'm getting fed up so I say to the SA that maybe she should read the memo's from head office so that she would know what to do next time!
When she scanned the 2nd voucher she started getting flustered and said 'sorry it won't go through, you'll have to go to customer services'. She called the supervisor again and was grumbling saying that she hopes Tesco's pull this promotion soon as it's ridiculous! The supervisor agreed but told her in a stern voice that it is not the customers fault that Tesco had cocked up this promotion!!
I headed over to customer services who apologised for her trout like behaviour and put the rest of my shopping through without batting an eyelid.
I think this promotion has brought to light how badly trained some of the staff are and how they are seriously lacking in customer relations. Maybe once it's over Mr T should look at training staff to be polite and friendly to the customers who (usually) pay their wages.0 -
