My Tesco are the same, they have been polite, don't bat an eyelid when I pay with my voucher. Many of the till operators haven't seen them before, or had "one or two" - supervisors do seem to know the procedure but not many of us are using them at my store.

Same for me, had no problems really. One supervisor tried to tell me that it was the wrong receipt but i knew it was ok and firmly told her so.

If i was threatened with the police i say bring it on as long as they < tesco person > is prepared for slander of character. :rotfl:
    Keep right on :T

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:You're right, £1 for 8 yogurts, atrocious :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. We're all in for a heck of a shock when this ends and we have to start paying proper prices again

I know, went to M&S yesterday for quiche (dont like tesco quiche), it felt very odd to be handing over actual money for groceries:rotfl:

So the battling and sniping AGAINST EACH OTHER went on and on last night after I logged off - what is it with some on here or just come to you say Im right and you're all wrong - a minority but still doing their best to bring everyone's spirits down. Lets just enjoy DTD and stop moralising....off to Tesco's!

    Well said!!:T

Ok so the voucher exchange is on....and can be used on toiletries...

Can you exchange a £5 voucher for £10 voucher to be used on toiletries and use it on
    ......suncream?
    ......lynx?
to the value of £10 and then pay using the voucher. Then claim back DTD on the receipt?

Would this be allowed or work?

Yes I did this. HTH x

Hubby was told that Tescos would call the police if he went in again to use a DTD voucher to buy anything. The manager/supervisor told him not to go in any,or to use a DTD and to tell his "friends"" , not that we even know who hes refering to.. And it was only Hubbys 2nd time in this store..
He said he was basically "stealing" things from Tesco and that the police would be called in the future.

Do u think a complaint to HO is needed or should we just leave this??

    That's disgraceful, make a complaint!

I can record memos on my phone and if anyone accused me of anything like that I would whip out my phone and ask them to repeat.

Don't do that. Tesco have a policy of not permitting audio recording within their stores. They will ban you, and they also refuse to listen to any audio recordings taken in the first place.
