same happened to me with SA - had to explain to her what to do with it, so possibly there are lots of stores not being visited by the criminal fraternity!;)

Went to a very large tesco today and both the sa and the supervisor had never seen a voucher before

When OH was out there he just wanted pot noodles and jokes, the best thing I ever sent him (according to him) was a pen that gave electrical shocks when pressed and a whole stack of stink bombs

No wonder he gets on with our kids so well :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

My brother and his mates loved receiving fancy dress outfits and accessories, anything that can break the monotonous boredom always goes down well. As does any sort of prank material.

Not tesco related but £land do a bag of 50 mini chew bars (wham bars etc) I got several requests for them to be sent over.

Pot noodels are great, and there FREE at tesco right now.

To anyone wanting to send stuff out to the lads in Afghan be aware you can't just send stuff to any soldier they have to be named. This link should give more information but from what I remember Bastion and Tombstone both have fully stocked naafi's, the OH moaned when I sent toiletries as he could get it over there. He mainly wanted treats like crisps and pot noodles

not sure who just mentioned operation shoe box but a massive THANK YOU!!!!

i have just looked through the pages of what is needed by our servicemen and women in afganistan and LOTS and LOTS of it is on our spreadsheet which means I can use a voucher to purchase and gain another voucher from the purchase and make another shoebox of goodies and continue like this until tesco pull the offer

i never preach to people as a rule but i do urge you to go onto the site and have a look!! you really can make a difference!!!

    operationshoebox.co.uk

thanks again for pointing me to the site!

This is a wonderful find, thank you. I am thinking that if every single person who is being helped by this site did just one shoebox imagine how much that would help.

just realised i missed this email in my inbox,

re my over the limit email

Thank you for your email to Philip Clarke our Chief Executive, to which I have been asked to respond.

I was concerned to learn that you have experienced a problem using our Price Check website, and that you have been told that you have reached your household's £100 limit for this calendar month. I appreciate why you would find this frustrating and I am sorry that this has caused you some disappointment.

Regrettably, whilst I appreciate the circumstances that you have described, having entered these receipt details on behalf of your mother and mother in law, we are unfortunately unable to assist you. As we are unable to reasonably verify all instances of a similar nature, we must be fair to all participants of the scheme and apply the terms and conditions equally. Therefore considerations regarding who has carried out the shop must be disregarded, in favour of the details received when the Price Check request has been submitted. This being the case, I am sorry to say that we will be unable to issue a voucher in this instance.

The per calendar month stipulation of the Price Check terms and conditions, refers to whole months i.e April, May etc and is not taken as a period of time since the customer first used the service. I am very sorry if you have experienced problems in this regard and I would like to assure you that further information will be communicated to our stores regarding Price Check very shortly.

Thank you once again for bringing this matter to the attention of our Chief Executive's Office.

    Kind Regards
GRATITUDE WHEN GIVEN, PATIENCE WHEN DENIED

Please press the thanks button when someone has helped!
