That was the one I found - is it defo legit? Is it a charity - it doesn't say? I know, I know, I've got such a suspicious mind, but would hate for it to go to some robbing b******s, plus £2? Would just like someone to verify please.

I know a couple of forces families I can ask if you like? I'm sure they will know, or know where to go legit to find out.

Someone was asking for the link to the shoe box appeal for troops out in Afghanistan...
    http://www.operationshoebox.co.uk/index.html

You fill a shoe box with up to 2kg of items such as toiletries,Toothbrushes & Toothpaste, Roll on deodorants, (NO AEROSOLS!!), Cup-a-soups, Pot Noodles, Tea Bags, Cereal Bars, Crisps, Peanuts, Cheddar biscuits, chewing gum, puzzle books etc then send it to the troops serving abroad!
You can include a note or letter. Free posting as well.

    http://www.operationshoebox.co.uk/index.html

Or if you already know someone serving out there you can send it direct, I've been sending my son in law a box each week for the last 3 months he's due back next month :)

When OH was out there he just wanted pot noodles and jokes, the best thing I ever sent him (according to him) was a pen that gave electrical shocks when pressed and a whole stack of stink bombs

No wonder he gets on with our kids so well :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Edit: he's just reminded me what he did with the stink bombs, apparently one ended up in the middle of a group of ruperts planning an op. I claim no responsibility for any operations not happening that day nor for the juice ending up all down someone's kit due to the 'holey' glass i sent him in one parcel.
