Putting a SIM card into an Iphone

I'm thinking of putting a standard Tesco mobile SIM (with data allowance) into a Tesco Mobile Iphone.

Does anyone else have any experience of this, or encountered any problems doing so?

Many thanks

No problems AFAIK if the phone takes standard sim.
  • Your better off ordering a micro sim from Tesco for the iPhone - Sometimes they do not work properly if they are a standard sim that has been cut to fit the iPhone.

Yes iPhone 4's have micro sims that are smaller than standard sims.

  • Thanks - it's an old Iphone 3 so I think the normal sized SIM card would slot right in. I think the safest option is to use a Tesco PAYG SIM and work from it.

    Thanks for the responses.

Sorry thought you meant it was an iPhone 4 - The sim will work with no problems in an iPhone 3 or 3G.

  • Urgh! I hate GiffGaff for the simple fact they encourage all their users to spam Facebook, Twitter and message boards [Such as MSE - See above!] because if someone orders a SIM through a members link they get £5 credit and the person who's link they order through gets 500 points! Getting VERY boring with everyone pretending its the best network ever just to get some points!

Actually it is a very good deal. I'm not getting this spam on facebook though.
