I remember some time ago seeing a website where you could input your car details and it tiold you of other peoples experiences of using veggie oil as a fuel, or told you if you could use it in your car or not. I have hunted google, and cant find it, anyone have any clues as to the site as I am fancying a small pick up, but would prefer one I can run on the veggie oil.
Cheers.
Cheers.

For a small pick up the mitsubishi L200 is very good on veg if you get the older model.0 -
Cheers for that Jim. L200 was one on my list, along with an old mazda b2200 and the ford ranger (or a hilux if I could get a cheap one.) But since the l200's are good to go, they might have to take over the ranger at the top of the list.“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

I think the ranger will need twin tanking but the japs have denso fuel pumps which are Bosch copies so love the veg as long as they aren't common rail.0

This is the website that got me into the joys of veggyoil several years ago.

I personally used to put veg into an M reg Xantia SX TD, 1.9td XUD engine, would run on 100% in summer and on a 90/10 veg/dino mix in the colder months.
Sold it due to not wanting to put a clutch in it as it was slipping, should have put the clutch in, seemed to run better on veg. Could be a pig to start on cold mornings if you didn't run on a veg/dino mix though.0 -
I noticed veg oil seems to increase in price to match diesel prices. I remember when it was under 40p a litre
until the car shows demonstrated it and the government said its illegal. Then wanted tax on it.
Your not supposed to run it directly but process it and make your own fuel. Thats how you get the tax free
allowance. I read they can inspect your equipment used to make the fuel and make sure your not cheating.
As usual they dont make it easy, Rules change often.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

You can stick veg straight in up to 2500 litres per annum tax free weather you have used it straight or refined it into bio.0 -
