Both option's would work. The sky dish is all ready plumped to ur bedroom so that would be easyer & cheaper if you still got the old sky digi-box.

That said their are quiet a few adult channels on freeview that you ca'nt get on sky.

can you see were the ariael wire from the roof top has gone?

ROFL about the adult channels. The roof aerial is going down the wall and into the living room.

Luckily i still have the sky digibox - I hadnt got round to ebaying it yet.

    Thanks everyone.

Does your roof aerial have its feed going to your main TV, i.e. the one where the Sky box is located.
If so then if this is connected to the RF in socket, and then the feed to your bedroom TV is in the RF2 out, then you should get the aerial signal in your bedroom.
The Sky box needs to be on standby.

No the roof arial is just running to the living room now but not being used as now have Virgin which runs on cable so no arial needed.

A good point, not sure how having the aerial socket/cable connected to the Sky dish (as described) has allowed the magic eye to work???

You know what, the side of my house looks like spaghetti junction at the moment. Once I get everything sorted will have to have a good tidy up.

Thanks everyone - all sorted now (well, hopefully......)

If you don't want the Sky box any more just join the aerial lead connectors together one should be male the other female.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

    Brilliant - thank you.:)
  • if the TV in your room is HD ready and that cable goes to the sky dish you can have your cake and eat it if you plug a freesat HD box in as well, the old sky box will get you more SD channels though
