Maintenance contract with British Gas

Hi all

has anyone got any sort of a maintenance agreement with your Gas provider for the boiler or central heating?

Is it worth having? They charge around 12 quid a month and they seem to cover all sort of problems, is there anything i should look out for? Do they literally come out and provide free parts and labour?

seems too good to be true for 12 quid a month. I know it adds up to a lot but i have had so much problems with my boiler recently it would have been cheaper for me if i took out a contract.

Will they come and inspect it before I sign anything? or will they take my word that nothing is wrong with it?

I have an existing fault which I am intending to put right before I enter an agreement. I am just thinkig of a future ..

Please advise

I think they charge more than £12 monthly for Central heating cover.

They will inspect before they 'take on' the boiler to check it is working OK and not an obsolete model.
