ohhh sorry i thought it was YOU that compared the WP to the FTSE100.
Hold on a second, i done a check and it was definetely you that compared the WP in question to the FTSE100.
No I havent. Ellen compared it in post #1. You continued to compare it in your posts. I have stated that you cannot compare it but it has outperformed it (it did until late this week). In as little as post #2 I indicated that you cannot compare it to FTSE100 due to risk differences.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). .
What bit of independent do you not understand? This fund is one of around 50,000 I can use. If you think I am going to say all 50,000 odd are good then the accusation of bias stands firmly at your door.
i suppose the bit i dont get with IFAs is that they get commission from certain product providers and not others. how often do you recomend a product that doesn't pay commission?0 -
how come a few days ago you thought the OP would be wasting everyone's time? now you agree wth her complaint?
As DunstonH has noted, you do not seem to read the posts properly. I said that a complaint against Aviva was a waste of time, because it is.
So I disagree with her about that.
What I am now saying is she seems to have ground for complaint against her IFA - but she has consistently disagreed with me about that.0 -

I would hazard a guess at every time he's paid a fee for his advice which, I seem to remember, is every time he advises.0 -

you didn't say that at the start of the thread.0 -

Actually in one of her posts she acknowledged the KFD and talked about scanning it and attaching it here but she couldn't.
EDIT : If you look back at Post 1 which she has now edited, she is quite clear about having a KFD.[*]She wanted the money out within five years.
She said to us about 5 years - who knows what she said to her IFA.It also assumes that I would be coming to the case without the benefit of this thread and that I would not have read the series of comments made by EllenGB which caused me to question the reliability of her testimony.
This I most definitely agree with.
I just get the feeling that the IFA is probably blameless. So it is not, by any means, a foregone conclusion - simply that what she has said would lean me in her favour in the absence of other evidence.
Which she is further trying to delete as she is on here right now deleting posts. The post numbers you refer to earlier do not now match up.
EllenGB - remember what I said about saving this thread and copying its content?0 -

Every day. I, like many IFAs, work on an agreed fee basis. It doesnt matter if I use a FTSE tracker, a with profits fund, or whatever fund you like to pick. I get paid the same. As you say, you don't get it and that is obvious to see.
This thread is not about commission though. Its about a fund. As has been said on this thread already and ignored by you, even if the adviser worked on commission, he would have earned the same whether he recommended JPM natural resources, Aviva Index Tracking or the WP fund.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). some nice research there
If someone believes their posts are accurate, they don't go back later and remove them or change them to something completely different. They stand by them.magpie mini me.
I'll take that as a complement. He/she has been fair throughout this thread and has tried to help the OP.0
