As I have mentioned on some other threads (yes I am still so excited :j), I bought a Panasonic 253 from a car boot a couple of weeks ago for £2.50 !! (yes still excited :j) and it is great.
I have had a couple of cheaper ones in the past which turned out bricks, so was waiting for a Panasonic to turn up (did I mention it was only £2.50? :j). The first lot of ingredients were placed in it and I had a nervous 30 minutes while it did its resting thing, then it got going and I was so thrilled with the first and all subsequent loaves. I am going to be as big as a house if I carry on this way.
As this was 'pre-loved', and looking at the inside, well used, all I can say is that it must be a reliable make. Well, many MSEers have told us this haven't they?
PS. Still excited :j0 -
I ordered the panasonic 256 from coop electrical for £59.99. Ordered it Wednesday and it came Thursday :j. I have so far tried 2 gluten free loaves and gluten free hot cross buns and they have all come out far better than what my old cookworks one was able to produce. In fact hubby said the one I made yesterday was the best one I had made so far. Very pleased with this one :beer:0

One
With the advice to bake it, slice it, freeze it and toast from frozen. The lack of gluten makes it difficult to hold the air in the loaf so it can quickly go rock hard
Amazon have a book with 125 recipes at £11
