Bread maker - which one?

Hi All,
My old Hinari breadmaker is just about worn out: makes an awful noise, sounds like the motor is about to pack-up. Still has been used almost daily for the past five years so can't complain.
Can anyone offer any experience of the following bread makers:
Panasonic SD257
Kenwood BM450
I realise that both of these are quite high-end machines but it is going to be used daily. However if a cheaper one will do the same job then let me know.
One requirement is to make some sort of wheat & yeast free bread, probably Rye bread is they can do that.
Thanks,

hi RomfordNavy
there's a lot of discussion & information about Panasonic & Kenwood breadmakers over on the Old Style forum, I'll see if can find some links for you0 -
Have just bought my second Panasonic machine.
Would recommend highly!
Perfect bread or dough everytime!
The new machines have a new black non-stick lining / even better than before / bread just slides out!0 -
Hi
Another vote for the panasonic. I have the SD253 and its great !!

just off to look for those threads
I've got a Panasonic 255 (very similar to the 257) & a Kenwood 450 & certainly with wheat bread I find there's no difference in the end product, they're both equally good
for style, features & functions the Kenwood leaves the Panny standing, but ...
I've never made rye bread in a BM, & the Pannys have a dedicated rye programme & kneading blade so that might be the best choice for you0 -
Panasonic.........
Try this

£55.99 instead of £99.990 -
lots of information & hands-on opinions in the links below, hope they help you make a decision
here's the Panasonic BM tips thread, it's a long read, but you can ask questions about rye/wheat/yeast free bread baking there
here's the Kenwood 450 thread
here is a 'which breadmaker' question, there are links in post #11 to a couple of other similar threads which are worth reading0 -

We have same model and I can highly recommend it. My sister makes a great loaf with it, better than most bakeries I think. Mmmm0 -
Thanks for all the info, quite a bit of reading to do. In my case I think it will come down to which has the best Rye bread program.0
