Please help me! I'm a moron and cannot understand what to do. I'm currently a student and also senior staff on a super busy forum which I use daily (constantly). I tend not to watch TV on my PC but do very occasionally.
I'm with Sky at the moment, I have Sky+, their phone line and broadband and it is £45 a month... I'm not bothered about having their TV any more as my TV has freeview built in and i was thinking I could use my Sky box as a freeview box once I leave them in other rooms (is this right or am I thick, or both?).
I just need broadband really as I also tend not to use my landline... I have no idea what the best option for me is.... do i need fast broadband? Do i need a land line?

Assuming you are out of contract then you can simply cancel your Sky TV service and just take broadband and calls.
Sky will charge you an additional £2.50/month for your broadband and calls only.
Your Sky box will become a freesat from Sky receiver, you'll get a similar mix to freeview (terrestrial).
You will lose the ability to record or view recorded programmes on the sky + box.
PS You need a land line for ADSL broadband for which you pay a rental. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
