Cheap Sim Only for iphone

I've got an Iphone 4 and my contract has come to an end. I'm looking into changing from 3 who I'm currently with as the reception at home has got worse.

I currently use about 100 minutes, 50 texts and 500mb data a month. Looking round I think Tesco mobile is probably going to be best at £10 per month, but I'm confused as it's down as a sim only deal, but then they have sim only deals for iphone. I assume this is just a marketing trick as the ordinary £10/mth contract has everything I need on it and more and is £5/mth cheaper than the basic Iphone one.

With the amount of texts/minutes/web I use, is this best option? I can only get reception from O2 and Orange at home so need whatever I get to be based on those.

You might want to consider giffgaff who run on the o2 Network

£10 gets you unlimited texts and web plus 250 minutes a month

EDIT - if you get a Tesco SIM only deal you will need to cut the SIM to fit your iphone.
  • I am with tesco mobile and my contract too is coming to an end (in 4 days time). I already have Iphone 3GS and pay £20 a month for 250 mins/unlimited txtx/unlimited data in return, so read your post with interest.
I also find Tesco site tariffs confusing, so maybe there maybe some marketing shinanigans going on ! I have had no problem with the service for the past 12 months and reception has been very reliable, so might give them a call and see what deals they can offer

I do know that the £10 Tesco deal of 250 mins, 5000 texts and 500 mb data is only available online, instore the deal is £15 monthly.

I just made that call to Tesco, they can offer me 250 mins / 5000 txts / 500Mb data for £10. If I want to add BT Openzone to that (I am a BT customer), the cost goes up to £15 a month. This is a rolling montly contract, so no tie in for 12 months etc
