Ive been with orange now for about 10 months, i got the xperia x10 with my contract. Since then its had major problems, starting a month after purchasing when it was sent to the engineers to have the circuits replaced because it couldn't find signal. They kept it for about a month! Ive had to call orange for help since then countless times but they just keep fobbing me 'quick fixes' that last about 2 weeks. Mainly reasons like laggy texts, taking hours to receive. Not receiving them at all. and even jumbled up texts where my phones inserting random pieces of old texts into the middle of my newly received messages. That one they just blamed all of the other networks on and said it wasn't their problem because they've never heard of that happening before.. CHEERS!big help they are!.. Not sure what i can do now... Its really inconvenient having to call them and factory reset my phone every month. is there any way i could get out of their contract? My friend who had similar problems with hers took it to o2, who just replaced her phone, with an more up to date different phone. WHy arent orange as easy? I dont even need a new one, i just need them to fix it once and for all. When i suggested just sending it for the engineers to look at they told me i could be I'd be charged because they hadn't recommended it.

They have to repair/replace the handset, but this doesn't have anything to do with the airtime contract.0 -

Texts are not a guaranteed service, they can (and do) sometimes take hours to be delivered or get lost. Think about new years eve, everyone and there dog texts each other at midnight and the service slows to a halt to deliver them, often taking hours.
Jumbled / random text could be from either side of the network, and tracking one text in the millions sent each day would be impossible.0
