Hi guys,

This might be obvious question... but we are looking at getting the Blackberry Curve from Tesco on PAYG for Tesco double up vouchers... Do you think it will be locked?
Son has another year to go on his contract and we need new phone for him... he is on 3.
Or they have it on O2 PAYG.

Thanks

    Thanks,
That wasn't the question. I did find that page myself.
I need to buy one from Tesco as I am going to use Tesco double up offer (ie don't need to pay much cash), the question was whether I will have to take it for unlock..

i think it's only 3 phones you can't unlock, have you got a local phone repair shop near you? you could pop in and ask if tesco phones can be unlocked, but usually when you buy a phone it is locked to that network
Emily Sophia arrived 11 days early on 26/8/10 at 16:43 weighing 6lbs6oz :)

I have a local that always unlocked my phones.. I know they can do Orange and O2 (had them in past), never considered they might not be able to unlock Tesco... you are right, I need to check with them first..

Also I thought one of the networks backs up Tesco network (as they won't have they own) and maybe that their SIMs might also work in Tescos phones.. I thought it was 3 who backed them up? I don't exactly remember but I read it somewhere yonks ago..

Edit: No, it is O2 whos network Tesco is using... I'll call the shop to find out which network will be best to get in terms of unlocking.
