3 mobile broadband contract
hi can anyone help me? my 24 mth contract with 3 ends on May 12th I have phoned 3 to cancel and the advisor would not terminate the agreement asking me questions like why, how much, who with, questions that are none of 3s business. Ive honoured the agreement for 24mths. i swear the conversation would have gone on for days, he finally cut me off after i was very persistant that i wanted to cancel.
anyone else had problems and what can i do, i have read that i can cancel my direct debit with a letter sent to customer service?

Phone up again mate , they will try to give u a new cheaper contract to keep you ,write an email saying you are giving them 1 months notice to end contract (log in to your 3 account and sent one to customer service)
you will have proof then you gave a month notice to end
i v never had any problem with them :eek:0 -
You notified them of your intention to cancel, but you're almost certainly right to suppose that this isn't going to be actioned now.
So beanys is right - follow that up with an email: "On dd/mm/yy at hh:mm I spoke to [name if you caught it] to inform you of my intention to cancel the service. You terminated the call. I am therefore following this up by email, and am cancelling with effect from dd/mm/yyyy"
That way if it's not cancelled, you have it in writing. A more bullet-proof option is to actually do it in writing by recorded delivery.0 -
Thanks for your replys i ended up going into a 3 shop and i phoned from there. i have also sent a letter by recorded to customer services to cancel as well.0
