    Jkb,

Can you tell me which store gave you the game? So I can argue inconsistent policy and all that?

    Have pm'd you.
  • I have the emila confirmation but it doesn't show the game on just the console, i have the receipt which shows it as Toy story bundle but the store wont accept this. I am waiting on a reply from argos cs, they aim to answer with 48 hours but that was over 48 hours ago.
    Not impressed.

Have just been to Argos and picked up their End Of Sale Catalogue and lo and behold the ame offer (joystick & toy story game £7.49)) is printed in black and white in there! Open up at the last page its on the left hand side down the bottom.

I've not tried it as only spotted it when I got in but it doesn't show on the website so better off going into store and not reserving before hand!

    Hope this helps someone!

I saw this again a few days ago but they definitly only have the orange joystick on its own and not bundled with a game.

Just been to Argos in the south wales area, and was treated like i was stupid and it was my mistake, i had in fact spotted this in the brochure before even reading about it on here.
I went to pay and it flashed up on the screen that this was for the joystick only. i had driven down especially to get this item, and was very peeved.
I asked to speak to the manager and was told in a real ars*y voice, "theres nothing we ccan do, its human error and its a misprint", whilst the SA in the background was huffing and puffing really loudly.

Is there anything further i can do about this?

This is the second time in a week argos has got up my nose, the first was when i ordered something on there website telling me it was in stock. and then not receiving any response for a week, not even a automatic acknlowddeement. so i phoned, and after speaking to 5, yes FIVE, different people, i was told that my order never existed and must of been cancelled, no money ha been taken. as if i should be grateful it hadn't. The problem was no one told me that the order wasnt going to fufilled and wasnt coming. They did admit however that it was there mistake, and that this is common, the stock levels are not live and that they take orders even though the item maybe out of stock.

I rung head office and as normal assistants were not much help i asked for a manager who when i said i had to pay parking & was not even offered what was clearly advertised and i had proof i found him most helpful.I now have a £15 voucher for my trouble . So i recommend doing this, especially if it is in a leaflet instore and in stock!

I too have just been caught in this v-tech trap! I was actually unaware of the pricing error and made a special journey Monday evening to pick up the last of these that I had reserved. At the till, I was told it was for the joystick only (human error - blah blah blah!) I bought the item anyway and have twice rung customer services at head office to argue my point. Once I got put through to an assistant and the second time the duty manager but still did not get anywhere. I emphasized the fact that it was an error on Argos' behalf and surely a company as big as themselves should be able to honour it, especially as I had made the journey just to pick up etc etc. Still no joy however, if anywhere has managed to get this by phoning up, would they mind telling me who and where they phoned - it would be most appreciated.
    many thanks.
