V-Smile Joystick and game at Argos - £7.49

I went in as well to collect the one I bought, and got only the joystick. Told him it should have the game too as it did on the website, and he looked it up on the website and only the joystick showed up.

Even on the receipt it said Toy Story Vtech, but he said as it wa son the website as a joystick he couldnt help. If I had taken a print of the page, he said he would have been able to do something.

Whilst I was queueing to pay, there was a load of Toy Story Games in baskets near the till at £16.99 each.

Got the refund easy enough though.

I've got a screenshot of the web page showing both joystick & game if it's of any use to anyone. Need someone to host or distribute it for me though 'cos I can't remember my photobucket account details and I'll be out most of the day so won't be able to email it to people. I'll check back in about 30 mins to see if there are any volunteers!

good point i have the reciept and it says that to. If they do the game then they should have stuck to it as it is misadvertising! cant they be done by trading standards for this?
I wouldnt have minded but i have just discovered that the store i was standing in for almost an hour actually does stock this item!

I feel terrible about this as it was me who posted this offer but this is what happened to me
I had a bit of a mare about this I first went this morning with my printed reservation acknowledgement which stated second joystick and toy story 2 game bundle. But as you know they don't come with a game after about 45 mins I came away with a refund. But a really nice sales girl told me to ring the internet customer services the first woman I spoke to was horrid and said yestarday's internet price was wrong and had now been corrected!! however after coming off the phone I had another check on the website low and behold there it was joystick and game so I printed the pic off and rang CS again this time the woman was lovely and she said she would authorised it for me at the offer price however when I went back in store they took one look at my print out and gave it to me at £7.49 (sorry to be so long winded) so I'd advise you to print out the pic of the offer!

I think you may have just been lucky - when my wife went they even called it up on the internet and could clearly see it was the game and joystick, but would still not honor it....

Reserved this last night, and went to pick it up at lunchtime.

Joystick arrived and no game, so queried it with SA, showing receipt with Toy Story on it, and picture from website. She went off to query it, and came back saying that they didn't do Toy Story. I waved the picture and receipt at her again, and said I didn't understand. She went off and spoke to some one else who phoned head office, who confirmed that there had been a mistake on the website, which had now been corrected. She did however bring over 4 other games and invited me to pick another, as it was their mistake. She apologised about 6 times!! :j I went away a very happy bunny, together with 6 of the Winnie the Pooh Storytellers at £8.99 instead of £29.99. Also got 3 free plush toys with the storytellers.

All of these will be used for Christmas presents. They will definitely not be going on EBAY!!

I went in this afternoon armed with my joystick, print-out of email reservation confirmation and receipt.

My email stated joystick toystory bundle & the receipt showed vtech toy story. Argos customer Services said it was a website error and when they typed the number into the website it showed just the joystick, BUT, when they typed the item number into the customer services till it came up as vtech toy story They apologised and said I could choose 1 of the other games they sell (Toy Story game was out of stock!)
I chose a Dora the Explorer 1 - retails at £16:99 so very happy! They even offered to refund car-parking charges if I took in my car park ticket - they were SO helpful - I can't fault them.
