You should try it the night before in tablet form, it will change your life

1) go to work
or
2) go to the gym
if you can't face 1 or 2 then 3 is nearly as effective as either.....
3) two pints and a pub lunch
Guess which one I usually go for

I had really bad flu once and had to get dehydration powders from the doctor. The doctor told me to save any unused sachets for when i had a hangover, a lot of doctors use them as a curer. They work a treat, especially if it's so bad you can't face food!0

When I was a drinker (and I was a fairly big drinker) I used to have a 2ltr bottle of flat coke ready for the morning after

Now, on the (very) odd occassion I partake I always make sure I eat when I get home, drink plenty of water and take off my make-up! Letting my skin breathe - rather than going to bed with it still clogging up my pores - really helps too0 -

Thanks everyone for the replies

I thought I would update, went out last night - I was naughty and mixed drinks (2 types of champagne, passoa and lemonade and vk apple), I wasn't able to eat properly when I got in as the takeaways were closed and I was staying in a hotel but I did eat 2 digestives, drank water, took a berroca and milk thistle (and again this morning) and although I am hungover today I haven't been psychically sick which is quite an improvement! I'm thinking the milk thistle and berroca has been a big help, also thinking having less lemonade (only had 3 drinks with lemonade in, and asked for not much lemomade in them) may have made a difference too
Next time I will try and be better re not mixing drinks and eating before bed and hopefully I can be almost hangover free :beer:I had really bad flu once and had to get dehydration powders from the doctor. This sounds interesting, can you buy dehydration powders or do they have to be prescribed?0 -

buy them in a chemist they are called dioralyte its just a rehydration solution x x0 -
Eating to "soak up the alcohol" is a fallacy, you cant soak up alcohol in your body, you just have to wait for it to disperse naturally. I've heard about milk thistle too but dont you have to take it regularly for it to be effective ? I have Berocca too, but to be honest, i struggle to take anything other than water when i've had a hangover. Thankfully, it's a long time since i had one !!0

I didn't enjoy the Berocca but forced it down, if I'd been more hungover I doubt I'd have managed it though!0
