  • Cupcakes evaporated  (suspect my OH and DD assisted with this) also I don't own a cake tin so need to be eaten quickly;). I do subscribe to the no clutter therefore eat the packet theory.

If I am feeling really brave I will tackle the ironing pile tonight :eek::eek: my OH usually does my ironing (I clean the drains so it's a fair swap) but he's had labyrinthitis for the past month and I daren't let him use a hot iron in case he falls.

Does laundry breed in baskets? Every time I look round there seems to be more. At least I now have washing lines and hanging everything up outside I ran out of clothes pegs.

Laurel I know exactly what you mean about lying in hospital bed - before each of my ops I was thinking about the house in chaos and worrying about guests attending the funeral - crazy what goes through your mind. After on the nice morphine pump I was apparently only interested in talking about elephants (or so my family tell me).
  • What an awesome thread! Dont get me wrong, I do love the Flylady threads, there are so many lovely people on there, but I always felt a bit..................failed. Yes I now that makes no sense and my house is in no way un-visitor-worthy but if I didnt achieve what was on a particular list I fretted.

Now this Easter is different - what with both sets of parents coming I made a list and have actually managed to stick to it!!

I do like all your ideas though - working full time, doing voluntry work, helping hubby with his business, and 2 dogs - when do you fit in housework!

I shall adapt a pottering theory now..............."this evening I'll potter doing some ironing and pulling up a few weeds."

    Yep def happier with that!

My kitchen is spotless. Don't ask me how it happened, I don't really know, but there is nothing on the worktops or the table, or under the table, or on the floor :o I think an alien may have replaced me when I had my afternoon nap today :rotfl: Still haven' finished my boy's room though. That will be tonight's potter :)

Jackie - How the hell did you manage that?!?!?!? Spotless isnt something that happens in my home - and that is way too advanced for messy old me! Although we had a takeaway and ate it out of the paper to save on dirtying plates!!!!

I really don't know :o it was getting tidier and tidier and as it got clearer it got easier. Bloody hell, if I had known that I might have tackled it sooner, lol! I am going to wash the floor shortly

Ok hun - I always think cos you come up with such fantastic lists your house must be a palace. and everyone else who seem to do the lists effortlessly.

Anyway I pulled up some weeds, closely watched by next doors twins (who are camping out tonight, bless) and am running a bath.

    See you on the morn!
