Skipton Flexible Investment Bond 10 Yrs?

I have some details on my mothers above Bond. This was taken out 17/10/01 in the sum of £10500. The cash in value last Oct was £15076 & this included a MVR of £25. The bond paperwork is through AVIVA.

My question is there any advantage of keeping the bond until 17/10/11 (10 yrs)? Are there any additional bonus payments for keeping the bond 10 years+?

Is there any better alternative to this now as my mother is 82 & is maxing out her ISA allowance from other sources.

Depends on what version of the bond you have and if it is qualifying or non-qualifying, your mothers tax position (age allowance reduction level being a key decision driver on this). Many of Aviva's bonds have access to the fund unit linked fund range and you can switch investment funds free of charge and tax to something a bit more modern.
