matto wrote:Any ideas what connections this has (what outputs does the PS2 have?). If it has a standard RCA composite input would be great as portable telly connected to a freeview box/DVD player. Think I'm going to order one anyway. I'm sure it must be possible to hack a standard connection to it even if it does have a PS2 socket.
I was thinking the same thing for my kitchen but a 5.4" screen isn't that big and I think I'd want to detach it from the base to make it a bit more stylish to mount in on a kitchen door.
Its defo a bargain though

You can definately NOT use this for the slimline version of the PS20

Could you elaborate?
Presuming this screen is the model that I have identified then it has an RCA composite video input socket. The cable supplied with the slimline PS2 is I believe RCA composite video output plug. Connect the two together et voila. No problem with audio either there are standard RCA audio sockets.
You will of course have to use two power supplies, one for PS2 and one for screen, whereas screens for the new PS2 have a pss through for the power supply (and network & USB connections). And it won't fit in the cradle.
This screen has similar inputs to those you'd find on a telly, except no SCART but SCART to composite adapters are only a couple of quid, and no aerial socket or tuner. So if you want to use it as normal telly you would need a digibox and a SCART to RCA lead (or SCART to s-video for better picture quality, not sure that's much of an issue on a 5.4 inch screen.)0 -
It may be that it connects using the expansion port ? That would explain why it will only work on the old style ps2.
Great spot - Hope we get them!0 -

If you look at the instructions it tells you to connect the screen AV inputs to the PS2 audio/video out multi-plug.0 -
