If the price really bothers you that much, just don't go there again. Emailing them, and continuing to do so is absolutely ridiculous.

I think the OP is right in complaining to them. The problem is we dont complain enough in this country, we just accept it and jokingly call it "rip off Britain"

I went into H Samuels last week to get my watch battery replaced, £8.50. I declined. I can buy the battery off Ebay for £1.00 and fit it myself.

Lol, I went to a street seller - did the job for £3... Although at first, given mine was a fairly good quality Seiko, I think he was a bit bemused as to what he should do with it!!

Couldn't have been worse than the egg and chips I had at the Diner cafe in Bangor. Still, they only charged £3.20.

Just noticed their "Signature" ... me thinks they may have some false advertising claims

    BTW £5 is too expensive

Are you serious? They should be thankful that he bothered to contact them! And they should take note of the feedback. He has given them an opportunity to put it right, they have declined and now they are paying the price by being named and shamed.

If I owned a customer-facing business I would follow the mantra 'If we're not up to expectations, tell us... if we've pleased you, tell others'.

Thanks OP, for warning us off this overpriced cafe. I don't live or work near it but if I was ever in the area I would definitely give it a miss!
