  • Congratulations! and thanks for the good wishes  You must be really proud . . .

    Just wondered?
As it's an online saver account, do you actually have an online account yet? Or am I expecting too much. . .

You are expectiong way too much.....:rotfl:

Not rare at all. What is rare is that you're apparently being charged on the tariff that you signed up for. :j

If only life was that easy for the rest of us.

If you read some of the threads on here over the years you would agree it is rare! I've ready many a thread from people in shock that they owe a lot of money as they have been receiving estimated bills for years and never supplied a reading!

I've found EDF to be very good - maybe I'm just a lucky one!! :D

I'm seriously looking at switching from E.On to edf to get a slightly better tariff. Am I making a mistake??

I've been with EDF since start of the year and haven't had a bill yet so just decided to call them to see when I would get one and also to check what tariff they had me on. No suprises that they had me on the standard tariff until 2 weeks ago, but the man I spoke to - Anthony - was really helpful (I'm still rather stunned). He has changed the tariff to start in the right place, applied the £100 credit and if I call them back with a meter read they will issue a bill. Fingers crossed!

Oh I also asked when it would all be available online. He apologised and said it would probably be August.

Have to say I've been pretty happy with EDF over the last 18 months or so I've been with them

Only issues I've had have been some of the figures coming out of their direct debit random number generator have been crazy, however a quick call or e-mail to customer services explaining why its silly and what it should be has always sorted it out

To pick up a few points.

My bill was an estimate, but actually quite close to the actual reading.

I don't have online access yet. My gas direct debit is still woefully low despite me advising them.

I started the tongue in cheek thread for all the other Online saver 7 customer's who have endured the fun and games of signing up with EDF.

Nothing has really gone right, for the majority of us, but getting a bill (which is their business) which was finally correct, deserved some sort of acolade, even in jest.:D
  • Just to make you all jealous :) I had on-line access from about 2 weeks of signing up and it actually stated the correct online energys@ver 7 tariff on my on-line account straight away.

I asked through the on-line message system on my account to increase the direct debit and this was acknowledged as done within 5 days and saw the amount of to be taken was changed to the new amount.
The £100 bonus was applied without having to request it and the Quidco payment of £80 was paid within the stated time period .
I may have just been very lucky but it shows they can get it right so hang in there it may all come good at the end
