Judi wrote:Yeah, i probably will. I actually opened my paypal account months ago, i got as far as opening up the premiere account but never used it. However, i went into the account yesterday and it said that i would have to opene up a direct debit so that they can deposit money into my account and prove the account is live. I am waiting for their deposit into my account.
However, i have read many stories about how paypal has ripped people off and am now wondering whether to stick to my guns and not include it into my payment system. I certainly dont like the idea of a DD being set up on my account as it isnt governed by the normal banking rules.
I'm not sure what's best to be honest, I'm too new. But after paying for a few items by Paypal, it completely threw me when I won an item and they didn't want paying by paypal lol
but preferred Fastpay I think it was.
I dashed off to set up a Fastpay account, but got hopelessly lost and sent a cheque instead
Today I spotted a few that didn't want Paypal at all, so they must be happier with other methods of payment.
Anyway, good luck and let us all know how you get on!0 -

Just spotted a seller that prefers cheques, PO's and vouchers from M&S, Tesco, John Lewis or House of Fraser (and paypal)
That looks novel

I guess vouchers would be a good way of sending payment without having the risk of sending actual cash in the post..!! Asda or Tesco vouchers for me then.... oh okay that may be a tad boring - Next vouchers pleeease!! grin!!Official DFW Nerd 210

Amazon gift vouchers would be good, you can bank them in your account until you want to spend them. Its all done online so can be instant payment

I think it's a bloody brilliant idea Rachie
(Not sure how safe it would be but what is nowadays?)
Thinking about it, Tesco's seems like a good deal, so I'd opt for them.
Just Off Topic for a mo, but I also saw £200 pounds worth of M&S vouchers sell for £182
and a low p+p. I'm still trying to work that one out lol 0 -
Amazon's good too. I'm still wondering what would be best? Maybe Boots, then get points, money off when you top up phone cards etc.
I suppose there's a few more out there that people haven't thought of
