My car has always done this, seems to be when the clutch gets hot, e.g. in stop/start traffic (just when you want it not to lol) and after a long motorway run. I've had it looked at by a garage I trust and they've said to just leave it. Having said all that my car is 12 years old so I'm not overly bothered - yours should not be doing it at that age.0

What car?
My 1.6 Astra did it since I got it at 29k miles, was still doing it when I punted it at 33.0 -
My Zafira has done it for 80K miles.
When the clutch gets damp, it snatches, so you get a judder.
Vauxhall changed the clutch material eventually.
It only happens when it's cold and wet, for the first few starts, and it's easily overcome with a few more revs.
It's lasted 80K so far on the oe clutch, so I can live with it.
But again, only cold and wet, and after 1 or 2 starts it's fine.0
