You can find out when it was first registered using DVLA's website - google "DVLA Vehicle Enquiry" and put in your reg and the manufacturer.

    EDIT - http://www.taxdisc.direct.gov.uk/EvlPortalApp/application?origin=vnav_bar.jsp&event=bea.portal.framework.internal.refresh&pageid=Vehicle+Enquiry
The vehicle details for SP11 *** are:
    Date of Liability 01 03 2012
    Date of First Registration 02 03 2011
    Year of Manufacture 2011
    Cylinder Capacity (cc) 999CC
    CO2 Emissions 114g/Km
    Fuel Type Petrol
    Export Marker Not Applicable
    Vehicle Status Licence Not Due
    Vehicle Colour WHITE
    Vehicle Type Approval M1

My car has always done this, seems to be when the clutch gets hot, e.g. in stop/start traffic (just when you want it not to lol) and after a long motorway run. I've had it looked at by a garage I trust and they've said to just leave it. Having said all that my car is 12 years old so I'm not overly bothered - yours should not be doing it at that age.

    What car?

My 1.6 Astra did it since I got it at 29k miles, was still doing it when I punted it at 33.

Hyundai Accent 1.3. The car had a new clutch fitted shortly before I bought it 18 months ago as well.

My Zafira has done it for 80K miles.
When the clutch gets damp, it snatches, so you get a judder.
Vauxhall changed the clutch material eventually.
It only happens when it's cold and wet, for the first few starts, and it's easily overcome with a few more revs.
It's lasted 80K so far on the oe clutch, so I can live with it.
But again, only cold and wet, and after 1 or 2 starts it's fine.
