just noticed car is shuddering when i take off in first gear and let clutch out. Car is two years old and has only done about 18000 miles.
Would like to have some idea what could be wrong when i go to garage.
Unfortunately i dont think warranty will cover it as the small print says it should have been serviced after 6 months and iv had it seven.
Any ideas?

Sounds like a clutch issue. You may need to re assess your driving style?

I dont think its my driving style, iv been driving 25 years and never had anything like this. I try to conserve fuel by driving properly. Just seems a strange problem to have on a relatively new car.

Astra H with 1.6/1.8 petrol engines had a problem with clutch judder which Vauxhall produced a revised clutch/flywheel for but told nobody about it - I'm not aware of the problem affecting Corsa though.

EDIT - if it hasn't always done it it's probably not the design problem I describe

Hang on - 2 years old?

It has a year's Vauxhall warranty remaining - you do not need to have the car serviced every six months for that - it's 12 months / X miles.

Clutch linings are only covered for a limited time however I have a feeling it's 18500 miles....
