    Hi everyone

Hope things are ok DNMS :grouphug:

WelshWoofer - moan to us any time you need to get something off your chest. Nothing worse than having to keep something to yourself like that :( Hope you enjoy today, esp getting out with the dog for a bit :)

I'm off to SIL's for a BBQ later - walk there and take something to drink - might just take a soft drink tbh.

Going to make sure this place is in order before we leave though; hopefully got OH on side...

Have a happy sunny Sunday everyone

    Yikes, DNMS, everything ok?

((hugs)) welshwoofer. Is your OH seeking any help? That must be so tough on you.

Glad to hear everyone is out enjoying the sun.

My leaving 'do yesterday was a great success, a good turn out and wholesome, Pimms filled fun was had by all. Today I will:
    • go to volluntary work meeting
    • walk in the sun
    • dinner from stores
    • work on crochet
    • make it an LSD - maybe an ice cream or something in the afternoon.
    • ring up AMEX
    • ring up housing insurance

    Enjoy the sun, all!
    Mortgage free by 30:eek:: £28,000/£100,000

    Hi,
Thank you to La E and Nottoobadyet for saying hello - it all helps. xx

OH is on medication and has been for 8 years but every now and then things get worse - the hardest part is not talking to anyone about it.

I have made myself feel more in control by walking the dog, scrubbing the house clean (including windows - am shattered now!) and doing 45 mins of very hard workout DVD.

Just the bathrooms to go but having a bit of a rest!

Isn't it nice to have washing on the line? Just makes you feel all clean and summery! I sound bonkers!

Right, need to finish upstairs and then I'll have a lovely gleaming house and feel like I've accomplished something.......
  • Hi everyone!

My OH is working all day today so the kids and i are having a lazy day.

    So far we have:
    • baked a victoria sponge and empire biscuits (All "white" label ingredients but still taste yummy)
    • Done two loads of washing now drying outside.
    • Took the dog for a long walk
    • polished and hoovered all bedrooms
    • Checked online banking..everything on track
and we are now going to chill in the back garden and enjoy the beautiful sunshine!

    Have a great day everyone!:j

    Hello everyone,

Another busy weekend for me - I have been wedding planning, sorting out the house & making the most of the sunshine! Glad to see everyone else has been enjoying it too.

    So this weekend I have:-

    • Used petrolprices.com before filling up
    • Met with our caterer to discuss our options - the BBQ we wanted for the evening reception actually works out cheaper then a standard buffet, result!
    • Chilled out in the park with a few ciders from Mr T's rather then sit in a beer garden paying pub prices
    • Had heating off except for a quick blast last night - love this MSE weather ;)
    • All food from stores
    • Drove to park/town last night & walked home
    • Logged expenditure on free app
    • Logged calories on free app - not looking good!
    & I will:-

    • [STRIKE]Walk into town to pick up car[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Dinner from meal plan - homemade risotto [/STRIKE]:) There's even some left over for lunch tomorrow
    • [STRIKE]Do some washing on eco setting[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Hang it out to dry[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Check online banking[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Check cashback[/STRIKE]
    • Put OH's car up on ebay
    • [STRIKE]Call my mum back using free mins on mobile[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Check for surveys[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Enter comps[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Charge phone via pc[/STRIKE]
    • Make a couple of cards
    • [STRIKE]Checked bills diary[/STRIKE]
DNMS - Hope everything is ok, what's made you decide to move if you don't mind me asking?
Welshwoofer - Really sorry to hear about your OH's depression, I don't think many people realise how hard it can be dealing with someone with that & since you're doing it alone I think you're very brave. You can ignore me if you like but in my personal opinion, since this is a long term thing I think it would be best if you did tell a few people, for your sake as well as his...I don't mean tell anyone who will listen but just your closest family & friends, so they understand what's going on. A problem shared is a problem halved & all that, & although depression seems to carry a bit of a stigma still sometimes it is nothing to be ashamed of, & it's not fair for you to have to cope alone. You're more then welcome to vent any time you like here :)

Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone x

afternoon all - how are we today?

WW - sorry to hear about OH. I can def understand the challenge and sounds like you cope the same way I would (extreme tidying and girlie movie)

Went to freebie theatre last night and it was really good. They must have really struggled to sell seats though as we were 6th row in the stalls!! Such as shame as it was an amazing performance. Main character was Trevor from Eastenders (remember him) He looked just as scary in this but was perfectly suited to the part. (Even the 15 mins of full frontal nudity was ok in the context of the play - worried about my 15 yo dd but she didnt care, said the story line was so gripping she barely noticed!

Today not done as much as I hoped too. Spend a couple of hours in garden today trimming the hedge, playing with doggie and sorting out the unofficial compost heap. I need to get some cucumber seeds today though. Not got as far as the paint and stuff - need to wait to see how much the vet cost tomorrow first I think.

    - took dd to Starbucks for a treat. Used card for free syrups and my budgeted coffee allowance and some vouchers to get each of us a free cake
    - dropped in to work to use the computer and to charge mobile.
    - head up to 99p store to see if they have any cucumber seeds
    - found tesco clubcard so round up all my receipts from the last week to get points added
    - make a lovely pudding using the now stewed rhubarb from yesterday and some frozen raspberries from the freezer (YUM!)

Think thats all. Lots of plans for next week when on hols - I hope it is lovely all week :)

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
