Weekend 9th/10th April - What small DFW things will you be doing this weekend???!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Well hello there my lovelies :wave:
Let's get this weekend started! :j
DNMS :eek::mad::( to the fraud! Hope you've got it all sorted chickadee

Tell me about it! It's been so weird - been v busy at work and hardly ever time to get on at lunch or just post and that's it and then come the evening when I get back to the WIP that is my flat my evenings just disappear. Plus, when I read at work I'm usually not logged in so can't thank anyone or comment so it's just not the same!And because OH is working now we need to leave a bit earlier in the mornings so I never get a chance to get on here before we leave. And then the past few weekends I've been away or had visitors - and really miss the weekend thread!
(Secretly I've been thinking an iphone is the answer but don't want to look into that option too seriously for fear I might spend cash I don't have
)
Flat-wise - not too bad actually, thanks- still got two big clearouts to do - living room unit and clothes but after that it should look a bit better
Off over Easter and right through to the bank holiday so if I don't get a chance before then I'll be able to get it finished then for definite. Eek, scary. Dunno what is going to come of trying to sell it and any negative equity :eek: Shall cross that bridge when I come to it - clear out/redecorating is needed either way I guess. Nowt like a wee spring clean

Hi NTBY -enjoy your leaving do.
Not sure how I feel pleased it's over but have to get into budgeting for things still have a lot to learn.
Went to cinema with DD1 last night- its so expensive :eek: gave DS1 money to go to his friends poor student :rotfl: (he's got a better social life than me) and I think I'm going to take DD2 into town today to get her some bits for school trip she's going to at end of month. I'd be well off if I didn't have kids.
BIL's birthday today so to be honest not really feeling the benefit yet but I am sure I will see a difference soon.
Enjoy your weekend everyone that follows and I will try to only buy what is needed in town thats the bit I struggle with.0 -
