car insurance for Night workers
I recently started working nights and was very peeved today when my insurance company (the AA) told me I would have to pay more because my car isn't at my home address at night. I asked what the difference was for me working nights where my vehicle is with me at work, and a day worker where their car is with them? No difference, but thats the way it is I was told!
Anyone else have this problem, and are there insurance companies out there that don't discriminate against night workers?

Most insurers ask "where is the vehicle kept overnight?"
If you work full time nightshift (ie not just a couple of nights a week like I do) then you'll need to tell them0 -
It could have gone the other way, If your works was in a quieter area it may have reduced the
premium.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Bit of a bu!!er that. The company I worked for completely locked the compound overnight, impossible to get a car in or out;)I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Could have repercussions, and if the OP has already asked them then it'd be weird if their car was damaged in the work car park at night or involved in an accident on the way home from work in the morning surely0 -
... "just happened to be working that night" lol0

mt insurance company asked me where it is kept at night and for commuting purposes asked where it was kept during the day which was a secure car park at work, didn't affect the premium, but I suppose it depends on where you're work is or if it's secure or just parking on a side street etc. Thanks to all the competition posters.0
