Hello peeps!
Please can anyone recommend a 19" LCD for under the £140 mark? I've looked at the usual ebuyer and dabs websites; but wondered if anyone had a personal recommendation!

Try Aria. I got a 17" Digimate from them and it's fine, though Digimate don't seem to have a 19" model (or Aria don't sell it). Lots of other 19" brands though, from about £122 upwards (incl. vat but plus delivery) - many of which have 3-year warranty. Aria do a dead pixel check for 20 quid also, though I didn't bother (incidentally, there are free downloads on the internet that "exercise" the pixels and can fix duff/stuck ones).

Depends on what you want to use it for. If for games or viewing TV programmes. look for a model with a fast refresh rate. It will be a number like 12mS (12 milliSeconds). Look for the lowest number you can find.
Another possible requirement is viewing angle. Again, this is more important when two or more people are viewing from off-centre. Look for the widest angle.
I've bought 19" monitors from DABs and from MISCO. The latter accept Paypal as well as credit card, in case that matters.
I'm reluctant to recommend specific model numbers because your requirements might differ. I like quite a narrow bezel and I don't need loudspeakers built-in. Anyway, here's what I have right now. Prices include carriage and VAT:
Samsung SyncMaster 913c £198.51 (Misco)
Acer AL1914 (We Have THiNGs Limited before they went bust)
Hewlett Packard L1940T/19 £143.92 (Misco)
HANNSG HX191DP £117.49 (Misco)0 -
