e2save - delivered opened box
Hello
Quick question. I just had a phone delivered to me today by e2save and on opening the special delivery bag I discovered that the box containing the phone had been opened - the seal was broken. Im assuming I should refuse to accept the phone? Has anyone else has had the same thing? I spent so long agonising over whether to go with e2save or to pay more money to go with a better known company and now here I am regretting my decision straight away.

was it a clearance offer? theyre recondition phones so would be open
if everything was there and neat and looked uninterupted then i wouldnt bother chasing itYes Your Dukeiness0 -
nope - specifically chose not to get a reconditioned phone, but that's what i'm thinking it is.0

was everything disturbed? the phone it is wrapping or protected?
were there any leaflets in the box, may have been just to add it in,
if you worried just ring up and check with CS its not a reconditioned one
easiest way i found to get them, is 10am on the dot on 01509615993 or 01509611818Yes Your Dukeiness0 -
ive had phones delivered before (not used e2save) and boxes have been already been opened to register sims etc0

yep - if they set the phone up and connect it for theyd have had to open it0

well, everything appears to be there. i called them up and they say 90% of their phones are sent out in open boxes because they open them to check them... hmmm. not sure about that. the sim card was in an unopened packet - not in the box - by the way so they haven't set the phone up in any way. they swore it isn't reconditioned. i'm not sure. i'm wondering whether they sell the phones that have had their boxes opened in the shops - you know when they do if for people to demo them.0

e2save dont have shops though, they are part of the carphone warehouse group but as far as im aware they are different companies and wouldnt share stock
but im not certain in thatYes Your Dukeiness0 -
they may buy them at a discounted price from anyone really - though i was thinking carphone warehouse. i don't know. the consensus seems to be to not worry about it anyway. to me it just seems like a bad idea to accept the phone when it could be reconditioned/returned stock/something else. all i have is their word that it isn't and that doesn't seem worth very much judging by the amount of negative stuff there is around about them.0

provided everything is there and the imei matches the one on the receipt then you are ok.. its normal.ummm...0
