    I've heard both.
  • Hi, in response to the thread I am another victim of ezeloans. I have used payday loans before successfully and although admittedly not a great way to get by, I have been on maternity leave and it has helped with a transition period. I unwittingly accepted a loan with these thinking it was the same as quickquid/wonga, (they all sound the same) I submitted my card details as this is the usual request when filling the applications to receive the credit. However I was directed to a page full of lenders and noticed a membership fee in the corner of my profile. I tried to cancel and have not taken any loans/progressed applications through them. It turned out that I didn't need the funds in the end and I muddled through, but the second my pay went in I noticed a payment for £67 had left my account. I haven't been able to contact them since, and although I'm resigned to losing this money I am terrified they will continue to take money. How can I make sure this doesn't happen? Can they take more or is it a one off? It was an expensive mistake.

I had a lot of bother getting money back of Ezeloans but through pure determination that they weren't going to get any of my money I eventually managed to get a full refund!

I got all the standard computer generated e-mails as everyone else, they send the first 2 standard ones & then eventually you get the e-mail telling you their address. I sent TWO recorded delivery letters which were both signed for and as far as I was aware, I would receive my money after 14 days.......14 days later & nothing! They wouldn't even reply to e-mails to confirm that they had recieved my cancellation latter.

I kept on emailing and was back to stage 1 with the same standard 3 emails & then I lost my patience! I threatened them with everything, see the following email which I sent:

"I have also received this e-mail a number of times, let me guess is the next one an email confirming how to cancel?????? Coz Ive received that one 2!

I have already told you that I have already cancelled my account over 2 weeks ago. I have evidence of confirmation that I will receive a refund within 14 days of that cancellation. I never got this refund, I can't get any sort of helpful response from you and I am now completely fed up with your company.

Expect to get a solicitors letter shortly. I am also going to report your company to trading standards, the FSA, the police and the financial ombundsman unless I receive my refund in the next couple of days. I have all the evidence here to have a very strong case against your Company.

I know for a fact that I was within the 14 days cancellation period because the payment was taken off my new debit card which was only issued to myself a day or two before the payment was taken. I also have a e-mail confirming that you will refund me so really you do not have a leg to stand on.

The reason that this has been so difficult is all down to you. I have been patient and co-operated with you the whole time but it seems to have got me nowhere."

They replied once again with an email with cancellation details so I replied with this:
"I have already sent TWO letters to your company, both by recorded delivery and both which have been signed for.

How many times do I have to give you this information????????????

Sory out my refund IMMEDIATELY please or I will report you to the Financial Ombundsman who I believe will charge your company £450 to investigate your company and will most definitely find in MY favour!!!!!

Up to you - £67.60 or £450 or more?

I am also very tempted to get a petition of every person I can find (and believe me I have already found many on forums) who have had the same problems as me with your Company, and produce this to the Ombundsman and also encourage all these people to claim their money back.

Your Company is ridiculous and sickening! It provides little or no help whatsoever to vulnerable people and rips them off! Then these innocent people are not even given a chance to get back what is rightfully theirs.

Oh and by the way I know you are advertising an address at which you are not longer trading at. One word for you - FRAUD!!!"

This soon got their attention and straight away I got an e-mail asking for the tracking number on my recorded delivery letter and then an email confirming that they had received my cancellation letter and I would have full refund within 14 days - the money was back in my bank a week later.

It took a long time to get my money back of these people but you just need to perservere and basically threaten them with everything. They try to fobb you off with the same emails over and over again in the hope that you with get fed up and just give up but DONT let them get away with it!

Also if you have given your debit card details out to these people, order a new debit card and cancel your old one so as they have no chance of taking money out of your bank again! The money can still be refunded through the cancelled card but no more funds can be taken out!

after weeks of trying i finally got his! emailed last thursday! but hey ho today is the following thursday and still no refund in my bank? and now it seems like the are not replying to any emails either? ive even emailed zendesk-their auto email software co and asked them if they have any details on this company? fact is my details were passed on to them via another loan company, and yes yes i know i shouldnt of put my details online- *lesson learnt* but its beyond belief how a disreputable company like this-with so many complaints can still function? its wrong! and as for the fact that its doesnt have a consumer credit license is wrong.....IM going to try and get something organised on this matter as there are so many people getting ripped off ......any comments info please pass it on to me! many thanks
  • I was stupid enough to do the same thing i never got my money back, and truet here are a million reansons why people part with there details [as i did] beliving that you were going to recive funds that very day.
if its a debit card used you have no chance of the bank refunding [certinly llyods would not get mine back]
and i have to say its nothing to do with anyone why you wanted/needed the money or what it was to be used for, some people like me fell into a trap designed to trap desprate people, i fited that bill a few weeks ago and have sufferd thanks to my stupid actions, i have been o/d twice at the bank, which i have had to ask a couple of friends to lend me the odd 10.00 quid to keep in good standing with the bank however the dark clouds are passing i now have got a small p.a.y.e. job [im self employed normaly] its 11 hours and i get around 80.00 quid PER WEEK pay day next friday:T:T:T
so there is light at the end of the tunnel:D:D:D
I DO HAVE TO ASK MYSELF WHY I NEEDED
    /WANTED THE LOAN??
DID IT COST ME ?? YES
DID I LEARN FROM IT??? YES
loan companys that oprate with the sole intention of ripping people off should be sorted out
