Just bought another car so phoned to change the cover.
Same as everyone else, they were the cheapest by miles when i first took out the policy, but woe betide if you want to change anything!
I have a jaguar x-type 2l and bought a 2.7xf. They wanted to charge me an extra £214.00 to change. When I asked why I was told that it was a larger engine! The fee for changing-was made up of £115 for the admin, £55 for paperwork, and £44 misc costs.
Because I have been with them 9 months the full premium is due of £107 if I cancel.
Buyer beware!
STAY WELL AWAY........DEVIOUS TO SAY THE LEAST!!!!0 -
purchased in February 14 cheapest on the market, great stuff until I had an rta, non fault accident tell you you'll recieve a curtesy car within 4 hours of the rta, it took 24 hours, having received the car they took mine for a engineer to tell me if is was a total loss or repair it was only by chance I rang them and asked were my car was going to but to my surprise they put me through to a company called oc motors the guy on the phone asked for my locking wheel nut to so they could repair the car without my permission that's cheek for you that can't wait till feb won't be getting my money again ps there was no explanation to why they was repairing the car without my go ahead 2200 car 1900 worth of damage tells me that's a write of would you want that car back full of filler0

The saga continues....
Took out home insurance policy, declared everything that was required, policy arrived BUT with additional endorsements. Within 14 day cooling off period but cancellation charge huge.
How can they sell a policy and then attach additional endorsements?
Has anyone else had a similar experience? What can one do re this misrepresentation?
Avoid them at all costs!!!0 -
I have a post (Above) from a couple of years ago and am still with one call.
I change vehicles fairly often in insurance world but always wait till month 12 when you can make changes for zero.
Their renewal system seems to have sharpened up. It still contains a renewal fee that you cant escape.
However when you now go for a new policy via a comparison site the results do produce exactly the same price as the renewal (excluding the admin charge). So I no longer have any bartering power.
I also appear to have a guaranteed no increase for 3 years.
.
Further to this I unfortunately had another no fault 3rd part claim against a skip company, who scraped down the side of my car. The 2 no fault claims resulted in no policy increase at renewal. (I checked the scenarios). Otherwise I would have gone back to the 3rd party anyway for consequential losses.
I seem to have a decent relationship with one call.
I think if you make sure you know what's written on the tin when you sign up you should not have too many grounds to moan.0 -
Please DON'T use this company. I took out van insurance with them in the begining of December and cancelled within my seven day period. I paid the initial fee using a debit card and filled in the mandate they sent to pay by direct debit for future payments. After cancelling the insurance (due to it not being what I required), I cancelled the direct debit on 15th December, they then took out nearly £100.00 using my debit card on the 31st December even through the direct debit had been cancelled. I was not aware that they would use my debit card details in this way. Please be very wary of giving them your card details.0

and still to get nowhere. There must be a way we can join to make a formal protest against them as they think they are above the law.0

Don't make a formal protest, make a formal complaint in writing and not an email and if your not happy then take it to the ombudsman.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
