hello I am totally useless when it comes to mobile phones.

can anyone recommend a nice phone on a good network
for PAYG. Most of my calls are incoming, but I will also
make calls to landlines...about 100 minutes a month.

thanks

http://time2talk.co.uk are doing a good deal on T-mobile relax 100 pay upfront 12 month contract, my partner took up the offer a few weeks ago. She got the LG C1200. Nice compact basic flip phone. Does the job.

choice of phones, 100 mins X network minutes, free voice mail & 100 texts for 3 months free(T-mobile promotion, although not mentioned on site).
You pay them £89.99 for phone. They then credit your bank with £262 within a couple of weeks of connection just in time for T-mobile take the same amount via DD on your first bill.
Saves all this cashback messing about stuff & no worries for 12 months.

I'd agree that, for 100 minutes a month, a contract is likely to be better than payg
  • Be wary with the smaller companies as anyone (me included) will warn you of the dangers having experienced Forward Cellular going bankrupt. Maybe check the bigger players (don't know anything about thsi company being recommended) like https://www.onestopphoneshop.com and https://www.e2save.com used them both without any problems also try https://www.dialaphone.co.uk

I agree you have to be careful with anybody these days but what I like about this company is that once you get your 12 month line rental back within the 2 weeks of connection that is it. Any additional calls etc over your allowances will be on your monthly bill. I guess after 11 months you cancel with T-mobile, then do a similar deal again if it still exists.
