Hi,

I've posted a new Once only comp here:

I also asked for these two to be changed to Once only as I believe they're once only sign ups (ones a registration which I assume can only be done once? The other is an email subscription sign up):

in the 2 you mention above the terms were impossible to find so I changed them to onceonly but will be just as easy to change back if anyone finds anything different

Could the title of this sticky be changed? To me the words Once Only mean one single entry. Why can't it be called Monthly Entry to fit in with all of the other titles in the Regular Comps stickies?

The competitions linked to in this thread are the ones that aren't (or are not believed to be) monthly entry that were linked to in the monthly sticky (and possibly some that were just on the regulars but not linked) before, so you only need to enter them once (so the once only name is right) and you're in all the draws in the future.

It was decided after all the talk about where to put comps - as most people want the majority of them to be on the main board and nearly all of the monthlies were ongoing so don't have a final end date and were not able to be posted with one on the main board and then linked into the sticky thread (some were posted as ongoing threads in regulars and others were posted each month on the main board) - that it would be better if they were all posted each month on the main board and then the once only ones on the regulars board and it means only one visit to regulars to work all of the way through it and then pick up any new ones as they're posted, rather than having to work through regulars each month and cross check to make sure they've not also been posted for that month on the main board.

Glad spent a lot of time going through the majority of the old monthly sticky and working out which competitions were which type and then striking through them as she went along, diva finished this off and I believe then went through the ones that were on the regulars board but not linked into the sticky and then created this sticky from the ones that were discovered to be once only sign ups or registrations, while that was going on toniq and comping cat worked their way through and posted all of the ones that they were asked to(?) after offering to post the monthlies up for last month, which was a massive job as there were loads of them! :eek:

I've also gone through them all and created my own list in a spreadsheet so I found a few that hadn't been posted and posted them too, I didn't manage to finish the list before midnight as there were too many left to go through, but have finished now so all sorted for checking they're all posted this month (From going through I think only around 10ish monthly entry ones were missed last month, so not many at all considering there's 225 comps :eek: at the minute on the list and the rest were all posted, plus any that I've not got as I've not associated them with being monthlies yet)

Hope that helps explains whats been happening in the past month (and also hopefully if I've got any of it wrong someone will correct me! )
