What would you do if you were him?

probably wouldn't give a flying hoot as you cant even see it apart from above!! its right at the back of the block in a corner where no one goes. such a thing isn't going to affect the re-sale of his property.

no doubt hes frustrated and doesn't see why we shouldn't pay. and im not saying we shouldn't. just seems a lot! he knows its a lot, as when he wrote to us on the quote he said sorry its so much feel free to get your own quotes.

I'm just wondering how you were that accurate that you managed to make a cigarette end land on a sloping window cill 4 inches (or so) wide from 10 feet or so up? Further it not only had to land there but stay there as well in order to do the necessary damage.

In post #1 you say "from cigarette ash" - thats even more unlikely IMHO or is there no wind at all round your way?

Sorry - not too helpful. Just a couple of observations.

    Cheers

to be honest, thats what i thought.....seems strange....and i looked at the other windows down there and theres no damage so we must have unknowingly dropped a few lit cigs on it....
