Under SOGA, JL are obliged to offer you a refund, replacement or repair. BUT the method of action they take is THEIR decision, not yours and they will usually take the most cost effective remedy. This is usually sending it away for repair.

Whilst SOGA states that is the retailer who is responsible, in reality it will be much easier for you to go direct through Nintendo.

If you want JL to deal with it, you will have to get the DSI to JL, they will send it to Nintendo, Nintendo will send it back to JL and then you need to get it from JL.

If you deal with Nintendo directly, you send it to Nintendo and then Nintendo send it back to you.

The latter option will save you time and inconvenience.
  • Thank you.
I have the relevant names and address of management.
I've sent another email asking that they collect it or provide me with return details by the end of the w/e, if not I would contact their MD Monday.

Thanks for your best wishes. I'm probably going to lose my wife, and I know that a faulty Nintendo is trivial.
