To be fair, there are only a few providers around and it is unrealistic to expect much better experience elsewhere.
You'll find dozens of 'disgusting episodes' posted here for all of them.

I was happy with Vodafone before O2 to be honest... and Orange have been nothing bar first class since. I just dont know what O2's problem is... but lets say I'd rather be a dieseased animal than consider them again in my lifetime, and since showing my family friends and work colleagues my letters and harrasment... I think a lot of them are agreeing with me (so far 24 people have left O2 connected to me, and gone to Orange! I should get shares!)

another o2 story, while i was on their broadband i decided to change my mobile phone to o2 as this gave me a broadband discount. i was with vodafone.

so i entered the details on their site alone with my PAC number to keep my number, but after everal days nothing changed, so wheh i queirued i got back the sim card you gave is a tesco sim you need to contact them, even though it was an o2 sim supplied by o2, no matter who many times i told them it was an o2 sim even sending them a scan of the sim, they still insisted it was a tesco sim. so i took the emails i got from o2 saying it was a tesco sim, along with the sim to my local o2 shop, when after they read the emails and looked at the sim and then got up off the floor after laughing at o2s porting team response they shop managed contacted the o2 porting team and still they kept saying it was a tesco sim
