9 Months into Sky contract...Lower bill?

Hi,

I am wondering if anybody on here has managed to get some discount on their sky bills while still being in contract.

I currently pay £84 a month, and have been with them 9 months. Im thinking of phoneing them up to cancel my sky sports/movies to lower the cost of the bill, will they offer me anything?:money:

If your still in contract the only thing they will allow you to do is reduce your package down they wont offer any deals until pretty much the 12 months up at which point you may get the standard 6 month half price deal.

I called them to remove Sports, Movies and ESPN and drop to 1 TV pack from Sky World. They gave me half price ESPN for 6 months and 20% discount of the TV package for 6 months.

After 6 months I removed the packages.

Was this before the end of the contract mate?

My 12 month tie in period ended May last year, I called them in September to remove all the packages because redundancies had been announced at work. When the 6 months discount ran out in Feb I called and removed the packages, they didn't offer me anything else to keep them.

Ok i might be better off leaving it then until my 12 months is up, saying that, i still have the option to lower all my suscriptions, so maybe calling them and simply saying take off sky sports and movies they may offer a discount on them?
