I have filled out the questionaire and printed the letter, photocopied everything + electronic copy of the letter.

Will send it all out recorded today.

I'm sure I'll be back for more advice shortly when they decline it all :beer:

    Thanks again.

All I've received so far is two letters from HSBC saying they are looking into it but they have a lot of complaints to work through and haven't got to mine yet! Received one today so they have another 4 weeks to respond.

It's now been 5 weeks since they sent their last letter about being on hold. I've not heard anything since. What should I do now?

I've been on hold now for 9 weeks in total, accoriding to the ombudsman they have 8 weeks to reply before you can complain to the FSA. Should I now complain to the FSA or should I send a letter to HSBC stating the 8 weeks and asking for a resolution to be made?

Hi there, all you can do is wait i am afraid, the banks have been given more time to deal with these claims due to the JR, the only thing to do at this stage is hang on, taking it to FOS will not make your claim go any faster has ths banks have more time to deal.

I have had my complaint with HSBC since October and I am still having to pay PPI that I never wanted and dont need now. Am afraid to say, like Ammersal has stated, its a waiting game. They have until August to sort it all out.......we'll see:mad:

Funny I reply today as I've just got my post (no idea what post man was up to this morning!) and I have a letter from HSBC stating they are no further with my claim yet, they say I can go to the ombudsman if I wish but they aim to reply to my case by the 19th of July.

I guess they want me to go to the ombudsman as this gives them a lot more time to mess me about? so I will wait until 19th july, my birthdays on the 27th so lets just fingers crossed I get a nice birthday present from HSBC haha I'll be lucky! :rotfl:

Still no letter from HSBC so I rang their complaints team today, the bloke on the phone tells me my complaint IS being upheld and I should have a figure in a couple of weeks time! Good news! I have no idea how much it'll be but a few hundred quid for one letter is nothing to complain about! :j
